Every U.S. state runs its own licensing board, its own fee schedule, its own exam, and — as our contractor-license guides show — sometimes no state-level license at all. We research each license, state by state, directly against official regulator sources, and lay out exactly what you need: cost, hours, exam format, bond requirements, and renewal terms.

What we cover

We’re building out coverage across professional licenses where the requirements genuinely differ by state and where a clear, verified answer is hard to find: contractor licenses, notary public commissions, cosmetology, CNA certification, ServSafe/food handler cards, electrician licensing, contractor insurance and bonding, EMT, childcare, security, and real estate licensing.

How we work

Every state guide is researched against the official licensing board, Secretary of State, or state department that actually issues the credential — never guessed, and never copied from another site.
